Curiosity about Ciglia
A great forest, “of grassy nature”: this is how the territory of Curtomartino was described at the end of the 1800s. Carpets of orchids still bloom today around the cave, offering visitors a unique visual, physical, and olfactory experience. From the Greek οφρύς (ophrys), meaning ‘eyelash’ due to the hairiness of the lip, the orchid is represented in the Curtomartino world through the olfactory complexity of its rosé wine. Ciglia tells the tale of a seductive, fragrant, feminine, and elegant wine—a rosé in pure Curtomartino style.
