THE TERRITORY
A land blessed by fortune, Acquaviva delle Fonti is caressed by the warm sun of Puglia and refreshed by the cool Maestrale winds. It is as fertile and generous as a mother with her children.
Curtomartino, a zone and district within the Municipality of Acquaviva, was once dominated by vast forests. Today, it is home to a priority conservation habitat for the European Union. The Grotta di Curtomartino is one of the many hidden gems of our region. The ancient forest, now reduced to a few isolated oak trees, has given way to a new, semi-natural landscape that is equally rich in life. Throughout the seasons, sparkling grasses, aromatic herbs, and carpets of orchids fill the air with intoxicating scents and paint the landscape with ever-changing hues.
